Animation is widely used to enhance the communication of products, services, companies as it is also used into the field of scientific dissemination, education and social sensitizing. The animated medium ensures audience's engagement by creating interest, awaking emotions and bringing visual pleasure. Nonetheless, the necessity to tackle specific issues (e.g. features, behaviors, processes, concepts), suggests that animation effectively also suits in creating ways to address a wide variety of topics, specially the ones related to science, economics and technology.

My research aim to seek, analyze and define what and how within the animated text underpin degrees of enhancements of the understanding processes in terms of film direction, visual language, message architecture. Although animation manifests itself through a countless variety of forms and approaches, it is still possible to recognize sets of syntactic characteristics [shape stability, tonal and color ranges, depiction of space and volumes, types of movements, textures and material] that are commonly recurrent among the different cases/context under analysis.
